I found a South African restaurant in Amsterdam

So now I can have a bottle of one of my favorite Ciders and have some
Dutch South African food

Mum is picking branches

I took mum for a cup of coffee yesterday. We walked past a tree on the
way home and buds were popping out. This is a great sign that spring
is here and mum picked a branch to see the buds (called gåsunger)
develop in a vase back home

Concert. With Black Debbath

I went to see Black Debbath live at Folken together with Jon Vidar - thanks to Jone for getting us in :-) Anyway, Black Debbath is a hard rock band with funny lyrics. Their album "Welcome to Norway" is actually quite informative if you listen to the lyrics :-)

They opened the show with "Tradtional food of Norway" (remember Meena?) where they sing:

We eat alot of fish baby,
Both smoked, raw and rotten.
And it tastes like fish that's been six feet under,
It's not that easily forgotten.
We also eat cheese from goats,
And smashed lungs and liver are famous.
And one thing we don't eat is,
Deepfried anus.

You may have heard of Lefse!
You may have heard of Lompe,
But did you taste the Raspeball?
Also called Komle klomp kompe.
I recommend a herring,
I recommend smoked ham,
But the very best we can offer you is,
Head of Lamb!

Fried tomatoes

This is a great starter. Half the tomato, put a mix of oregano, olive
oil and garlic on top and fry it in the oven at 160 degrees for 2
hours :-)
