Stavanger was buzzing this weekend. 2 cruise ships, German tourist buses, National Brass Band festival and rigging for the beach volleyball tournament. The festival was more international though with the National Guard strutting their stuff and a band from South Africa extracting standing 
ovations from quiet Norwegians:) The downside being that all this was rather unexpected and parking was a nightmare - took me 30min to get out of town from our usual parking area! We hope the weather clears up again otherwise the beach volleyball tournament might be more a muddy affair:S
